Swimming Lessons Policies, Waiver & Liability Release

At SwimForLife, we are committed to providing high-quality, personalized swimming lessons while promoting a safe and positive experience for all participants. Please review the following policies carefully.

Lesson Structure & Availability

  • Private and group lessons are available. Group lessons are offered only for children of similar ages and skill levels.

  • Lessons are tailored to each swimmer’s individual goals, including water confidence, skill development, technique refinement, or competition preparation.

Payment & Cancellations

By participating in lessons or events, I acknowledge and agree that:

  • Cancellations are require at least 48 hours notice for Swimming Lessons. Weather-related cancellations are only made in the case of thunder, lightning, or heavy downpour. Light rain or cooler temps don’t qualify, since that time is reserved and could go to another family. I’ll always make the call if a reschedule is necessary due to weather.

  • For illness, while I understand it can be unpredictable, I still ask that you notify me as early as possible, as any cancellations for Swimming Lessons made less than 48 hours in advance will be charged the full session fee.

  • Payment must be made via cash, Zelle, Credit Card at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon for Swimming lessons. 

  • Credit card payments are subject to a 2.99% processing fee.

  • Lessons will not be canceled due to rain or cold weather.

  • Sessions will proceed as scheduled unless there is thunder, lightning, or heavy downpour, in which case the lesson will be rescheduled.

  • If your child is sensitive to cold, wetsuits or rash guards are encouraged for comfort.

Pool Requirements

  • The recommended pool temperature is a minimum of 87°F, with an ideal temperature of 90°F for younger children.

  • The pool must be clean, safe, and properly maintained prior to each lesson.

  • SwimForLife is not responsible for injuries or issues resulting from unsafe pool conditions.

🔒 Waiver & Liability Release

By booking lessons or participating in any SwimForLife services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • You understand that swimming and water-related activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to slipping, falling, injury, or drowning.

  • Participation in swim lessons does not make a child or adult drown-proof, and constant adult supervision is required at all times outside of scheduled lesson instruction.

  • You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and release SwimForLife, its instructors, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising from participation in swim lessons or lifeguard services.

  • You confirm that you are responsible for the swimmer’s physical condition and will inform the instructor of any medical conditions, limitations, or special needs.

  • In the event of a medical emergency, you authorize SwimForLife to obtain emergency medical treatment if necessary.

Learning Expectations

  • Every swimmer progresses at their own pace. No specific outcomes or timelines are guaranteed.

  • Forcing progress before a swimmer is ready may increase fear rather than build confidence. Our teaching approach prioritizes safety, trust, and steady development.

Acknowledgment

By booking a lesson or submitting a request form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all policies and the Waiver & Liability Release above.
